Hi, I’m Dr. Margaret Ready

I consider myself a holistic bodyworker with a focus on prenatal, postpartum and pediatric bodies. I love to treat whole families and encourage and educate my patients on natural lifestyle changes, from functional movement and ergonomic behaviors to nutrition and better home health. I am an inclusive healer and welcome all bodies into my healing practice.

I grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit and originally received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University. But after a life-altering event that clarified my belief in the body’s natural ability to heal itself, I was quickly drawn to chiropractic.

After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, in 2013, I opened Balanced Frame Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Denver, CO where I grew my family practice, focusing on soon-to-be/new mothers, postpartum health, and athletes. In 2018 I moved my practice to Brooklyn, New York, where I continue to work with patients today.

I have studied to be a doula but currently do not offer these services. However, I love to attend births and provide my support and love to patients laboring at home as well as postpartum. I am committed to birth education and empowering families to make informed choices about their birth process.

I currently live in Beacon, NY with my partner Mary Beth Romeo, a holistic natural foods chef, and our two-year old baby boy. We are both coming off of an extended maternity leave and relocation from Brooklyn. Chef MB and I are working together to launch Root and Bones Collective.

I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and am actively involved in both the chiropractic and birth communities. I regularly attend continuing education events across the country.

Additionally, I am certified in The Webster technique and utilize various chiropractic techniques, including Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, and Thompson Drop. I am also proficient in many soft tissue therapies, such as cupping, lymphatic release, myofascial release, adhesion release, and Functional Dry Needling.

Furthermore, I am a level two certified Low-Pressure Fitness trainer and hold certification in Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) using the Gillespie Approach. I have completed both the foundation and infant trainings.
